inside screen cracked and damaged?

Ok so when i turned my tablet on there was colorful lines and the lower half was black and the top half was the regular screen main screen but it was glitching like twitching. And on the side near the rim of the screen it looked like it was cracked so is the insode of the screen causing this problem?
