Sound from my television stopped

The audio on my LG television, model 42LH30 UA just stopped while the television was on yesterday. I have checked a few things, it is not muted, the television speakers are on, sound mode is Standard. There is one small squeak that happens when I turn the television on while the “connecting” sign comes on in the top left corner before the picture appears. That didn’t used to happen. Can anyone help me figure this out?
