Need to remove text files from a PowerBook 540.
The floppy drive won't work. Can I somehow connect it to a PowerBook G3 Wallstreet? thank you. Beth

How about connecting your PowerBook via Ethernet using: AAIU-15 to RJ45 transceiver. Then you copy off your stuff to another Mac or file server.
The only other way is to replace the floppy drive Apple P/N 076-0462

I’d like to replace the floppy drive. I have search for a replacement floppy drive but none to be had on ebay or fixit either. any suggestions as to where i look for part Apple P/N 076-0462?
Sadly, you'll need to search out another PowerBook to steal it from. Parts for this series is hard to find these days.
