Glass only or Glass+ LCD Display?

I am wanting to repair my iPod touch 4th gen and wanted to know if I can just purchase the glass digitizer (ebay # 270688150109) only from ebay. Can I do this or do I have to purchase the glass digitizer as well as the LCD display (ebay #: 310280857357)? MY ipod still works as the only the glass is broken. Thanks for your help... -Jason

Basically, they are fused together and will not separate without causing damage to your LCD. Some have reported success in doing it but most (including us) say don't try to.
