Switching a Ipad 5 logic board to a Ipad air
I understand that these Ipads are both the same but will my Ipad 5 logic board line up exactly with the screw holes and cables. Meaning…will they reach and fit?

No, even though many parts are compatible between the two, still many aren’t, and those changes are because of different logic boards between the two units. You’ll need to get a logic board that matches your model.

Even I had the same question but I would like to add a lil bit... what if the housing n logic board of a IPad 5 is used n the rest of the parts from iPad Air?
I have an ipad air that will no longer work but the houseing is in ment condition. My ipad 5 however works perfect but due to it being dropped the screen is broken and the hoiseing took some damage. Can the entire thing be switched into the houseing of the ipad air?

Basically this is a 'Square Peg, Round Hole' problem. The logic board is don't interchangeable.
