It’s not mine, but my friend’s, he dropped it once, and it started to have this problem of when he opened the screen fully, there was a pop, and it would turn off. He got a new ds later on and it giving me this one and another 3ds, which has a circle pad issue i’ll post later. But the main kicker is, if i can repair it, i can keep it. This is my first repair, so anyone have ideas?

Hi,
Much like other posts, this problem occurs whenever there’s a short circuit or when cables are disconnected in the device.
I would try opening it up and reseating the screens ribbon cables which can be located on the far top right of the motherboard.

I have the same problem as Mark, and I have tried reseating the screen's ribbon cables as you recommended. This didn't help fix the problem for me, unfortunately.
What would you recommend I do next? Maybe a specific part to replace?
