Fire tablet won't charge when on, but charges when dead?
Having this issue with my tablet for a while now, It charges when it is dead, but wont charge when it turns on.

The problem appears to have fixed itself? I dunno what I did, but it’s charging with the old chargers again. :/

Hi @walllam ,
Have you tried using a different compatible charger to see if it charges the tablet when it is being used, to verify that your charger is OK?
The specifications for the charger’s DC output is 5V 2A (2000mA). This should be printed on the charger.
If your charger’s stated DC output is less than this, say 5V 1A (1000mA) or 5V 1.5A (1500mA) it may be that it is not supplying enough current to both run the tablet and charge the battery at the same time.
You may find that at best it prevents the tablet’s battery from discharging, by being able to maintain the battery at its’ current state of charge, by supplying sufficient current to run the tablet without the need for any current to be drawn from the battery.

I can get it to charge if i turn it off completely, have tried another charger, all chargers I've tested after I turned it on charge briefly and then stop. Had no problems with the chargers before..
I'll try another charger that has the right specifications though. might have to buy a new charger.
