Vertical lines on screen

My Samsung 60inch led tv had a wide vertical line(s) on the right of the screen that constantly change colors. I was told I need a new screen but I'm not so sure now. We've just had our first rain in a long time and with an increase in humidity pop the screen is fine again. I've been told by tech's here in the Philippines that the tabs are unrepairable but I don't trust them. I'm tempted to open it up and I've watched videos on YouTube on repairing the tabs. If I try, what glue? do I recement them with? And should I even try? I'm very handy and not afraid to try myself
