Why is my playstation turning itself off?

So i while i was playing mgs3 i was getting hungry and was about to get some food but as soon as i stood up my console turned off and i saw 3 flashes 1st one was green 2nd was blue and yellow blue was on the left and yellow was to the right then a flash of red that went on until i pressed the power button
