the only issue I see here is how the heck do you get the thing open to start with, but also where to source parts from (guessing buying broken ones cheaply and hoping there’s a non broken element)

in saying that the UK and Australia seem to do repairs on a certain model of GHD platinum (S8T261 )

I have also seen another site saying its probably the PCB or damaged heating elements which break easily. New aftermarket PCB’s can be brought from here along with other parts - https://www.ionoriginals.com/zencart/ion.... Heating elements not so easy but ebay usually has quite a few broken platinums so I guess if you can get a pair that both elements still work and swap them out you might be okay
