6-4 KitchenAid Dishwasher code

I have a Kitchenaid kdte104ess2. Seems like circulation pump is not working. Has run once or twice over the last twenty tries. Just fills and drains and sits till cycle over. No water through arms and throwing a 6-4 code. Would this code still come up for a bad circulation pump. I’ve checked float and all seems well there. Fills well and drains every time. Like I said no water through circulation pump but had kicked on once or twice so not sure if that’s bad or not

I had this exact same problem. I replaced the circulation pump and got it working again. It's a big job to do, but worth the repair.

Here is a link to Sears parts direct. It has your error code listed and had a repair guide to fix it yourself.

Google kitchenaide dishwasher kdte 104ess2 and click on the Sears parts site then scroll down to error code 6-4 and a repair guide will come up so you can fix it yourself.

I have tried to link it here but was marked as spam for some reason.

I’ve checked the error code on my sheet and said it is a float valve stuck open. My float lets in water and drains with no issue.

The repair guide may have you try resetting the power or other tips...
