LG 42pt350 won't power on. Solid red standby led and relay click.

I was given an LG 42pt350 plasma tv by a co worker. He claims it was damaged by a power outage. When it is plugged in there is a relay click and the standby led turns solid red. Touching any of the buttons does nothing. There are no obvious burn marks of signs of blown capacitors in it. I found that if I unplug the main logic board, the screen will light up blank. There is a flashing green led on the XD Engine board. This leads me to believe that the logic board is bad. Is this a good assumption?

where you able to fix this problem ? i have a similar one right now . what was the solution ??

Hi @sparky55 ,

It might be be a problem with the power board. Usually they are the first affected by power outages. Obviously other boards can be as well, especially if the TV was operating at the time, rather than just in the Standby mode.

Ok so based on the manual I have a bad main board. I replaced it with one from ebay. With it plugged in, Nothing happens at all when plugged in. If I go back to the old one it comes back with a solid red LED and click. I tried removing the main power plug from the main board and shorting two pads together on the logic board and can see test patterns so that part is working. Is it possible I got a bad board from ebay or would something be wrong with the PSU as well.
