My UE BOOM 2 Connects to iMAC but no sound comes out of the UE Boom 2. My UE BOOM 2 connects and plays fine from my iPhone 7 & iPad, so I am not sure if it a macOS Mojave 10.14.5 issue.

So to be clear you can see the Boom2 listed and active within the Bluetooth pulldown menu - Correct?
If that’s the case, all you should need here is to go into your Sound control panel, click on the Output tab and then select your Boom2 there so the iMac knows where to send the sound to.

Correct, it pairs fine and I can even see it in the control panel to select it. When I select it, no sound. Quite odd. I have even tried unpairing and re pairing the device. Nothing has worked.
Make sure your other devices don't have the Boom2 active as their speaker. You can't share the speaker between two devices.
