Why does my power on light just blink on and off?

My fans come on but my power light blinks, and monitor goes to sleep. It recognises nothing. Can and dvd lights flash upon start up the just the power light blinking.

Try to remove your RAM then put it back, if you have two memory sticks use only one of them and switch between them if it doesn’t work.
