iPad Pro 10.5 inch screen turned black completely

My iPad Pro 10.5 inch 2017 screen is turned black completely. I connected it to iTunes and did full hard reset — updated the software to ios13 as well. I can see the iPad details in iTunes but the screen is still black.

I turned on the voice over with triple click on the home button and I can hear the voice when I click on the screen anywhere but no luck with the screen. iPad is physically in excellent condition but out of warranty. Apple won’t fix it and they asked me to pay $450 + tax for replacement iPad.

One more thing I observed is if I keep my iPad just like that for few hours then next time when click on the home button, the screen turns on perfectly fine but after few swipes/touches it goes black again.

If anyone faced this issue then it would be great if you can help. Thanks

Hi Adi!

Yeah Apple authorized service provider can not replace parts in your iPad, they could only replace the whole unit. As you already have tried to restore the firmware and it didn’t help, so it’s the hardware problem. It’s the display or the logic board. To confirm the failed component you must open the device and connect a known good display. But I strongly recommend you not to try disassembling your device, if you never did that, because it’s very easy to damage the screen. So, the only option is to go to other service centres than Apple.
