Why does my electronic Tonka fire truck cut out after 2 seconds

I put the batteries in and it starts flashing, emitting sounds, and then cutting out.

skallmann that happens with new and old batteries? Does It work again once you remove the batteries and then reinsert?

Thanks for responding. I’ve replaced the batteries several times. On some other occasions the problem repeats itself , on others there is total silence. So I’ve concluded that it’s not the battery contacts. It always cuts out at the same point.
