What do I need to know before trying to fix a dent in the iPad Pro?
My 9.7” iPad Pro has a lateral dent at the top of my just to the right of the front facing camera. The ifixit teardown suggests that there is empty space there. It looks as if fixing it is just getting it open and using a tool to fix the dent.
The first and last time I tried to fix an Apple iOS device, I damaged the display ribbon cable when opening an iPhone 5. I had no idea that it was so fragile. Are there any absurdly fragile aspects of the iPad Pro that I should know before attempting this? Is the display cable absurdly fragile too?
I already have an ifixit pro tech repair kit. I am thinking of getting the follow tools before trying to fix it:
[연계 제품이 누락 또는 비활성화 됨: IF145-352-2]
The iSlack is mostly because I am afraid of damaging the display ribbon cable. Does using these things to fix the dent seem sane?
