FaceID works to recognize but not add a new face

So I’ve replaced my display and it works fine, but then FaceID wouldn’t work. So I opened it up again, fiddled with it a bit and it worked to add my face but now adding a face makes it say « FaceID unavailable » but I can still use faceid and unlock my phone with it, why is that? Thanks!
