Touch working sometimes (LCD replaced)

Hey there. I bought iPhone 6s with broken screen (only glass). Phone was usable but hard to read cz of the broken glass. Touch was working 100%, tested the phone for entire day. Then the lcd was replaced and the screen was fine, touch id was fine but, touch wasn’t working. I reset the phone (home and power) 2-3 times and touch started working just fine. But, when i restart the phone, the same problem appears. Touch does not work. Then i repeat the process (rr phone) and touch is working again. After some usage the touch stops working and sometimes after few minutes it works again. (Sometimes i need to reset the phone).

What can this be? Faulty lcd? Maybe my mistake with screws or parts that i did not assembly properly or something worse?

I must say that when touch is working it’s 1:1 same as the original even tho it’s AAA replacement screen.

Here is the solution. The screen i replaced was faulty from the box. It has touch issue. After reinstalling the new screen, there is no problem. Phone works perfectly.

It’s either a faulty screen or you have done something wrong with the repair. I would start by reconnecting the flex cables and testing it. If that’s not the issue get a known good screen that you know is working, maybe a genuine one off eBay or get another one to test it with.

If it’s not that then you might have done something wrong with the repair most likely put the wrong screws in the wrong holes causing longscrew damage. That’s hard to repair and you need to do some micro soldering to do fix that.

I definetely did not put screws back as they were but, in past this was no issue..

I have repaired many 6 and 6s with this disease, if you have bad connection between fpc and digitizer then the touch will not works from beginning and not after a while.

It looks like you have a problem with the touch IC.

Hello, reinstall the old screen, if the problem persist then look for some board repair service in your area. If with the old screen the phone works then just replace with a new working one. Fixing the IC isn't something you can do alone without proper tools and experience.

I reinstalled the old screen and everything was fine. The problem was replacement screen that i installed. It was faulty. I replaced it with new one and everything is okay now.
