Battery Corroded and Stuck Inside Camera

Was replacing the batteries in my camera and found that one was basically impossible to remove. Turns out it leaked and corroded the sides. Any tips on getting it out and repairing my camera of any damage done after? Thank you!

Charlotte -

White vinegar will dissolve the corrosion. It may take more than one application, depending on extent of leakage. The vinegar will not harm internals. Just wipe it clean when done.
