No power after screen replacement but recognized by PC

Just attempted a very bad screen replacement job, snapped everything together and couldn’t see anything or power on the phone. Did not try the flaslhlight test to see if I damaged the backlight on the board since I didn’t see that was a possibility until I began researching. Don’t recall disconnecting the battery, however my computer does recognize the phone when plugged in with USB.

In my stupidity I forgot to remove one of the bottom screws so when i went back in to trouble shoot I tore both the ribbon cables so will at the very least need another screen. Am I wasting my time or does the phone being recognized by the computer still mean I got a chance?
