Why is my home button not working?

My home button doesn't bring me back to the home screen. It usually just freezes my phone. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

You either have a software problem or a defective OLED panel. First, try to flash a new copy of either stock or custom software. If that doesn’t solve the problem, then replace the display.
