How to replace mute switch on iPhone 8 Plus?

Hi, I have an 8 Plus with a broken mute switch so I bought a replacement flex cable. I have searched everywhere for a guide but I can’t find out how to install the actual metal part into the flex cable. Thanks for the help!

The metal plate is just adhered to the button. If you get something right behind it that is small you can get it off.
