Bluetooth connecting but no sound playing

Hi would someone please be able to help me. I have been pulling my hair out as my phone connects to devices but nothing plays and I feel like I’ve done everything possible. It’s not any device in particular because it happens to every one. Whoever can help is my saviour as I have no clue what to do next
