Screen may not be working
The screen is completely dark and unresponsive. The ringer button on the side still causes the phone to vibrate.

Try to restart the phone.
To force restart your iPhone XS that's stuck on black or blank screen, just follow these steps: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Then press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Finally, press and hold the Side/Power button until the Apple logo appears.
