Why won't my kindle log on to the internet

my kindle won’t download or connect to the internet. please help. I have checked that my internet is operating and have tried restarting it but still no connection

In the settings does your kindle still pick up wifi networks, or they don’t even show up? If they don’t, it might be an issue with the Kindle’s wifi capabilities, and may need repair.
