How to put it into Diagnostic Mode?
I know how to do this with 3rd gen and newer - but how with Classic 1st?

1: Restart the iPod
2: Hold down the “Menu“ and “Play/Pause“ buttons for about 10 seconds.
3: When the Apple logo appears and you hear the device is starting, press and hold the following sequence of buttons: "REW", "FFW" and "Select".
