after pulling my pivot pins, and the hub came loose, my shifter moved
I have a 1988 c1500 tilt steering column, and took it apart far enough to get access to the infamous inverted tilt torx. Well after pulling my pivot pins, and the hub came loose, my shifter moved and now when reassembling, the whole column is loose, and when trying to shift, it moves the whole column assembly. Is it possible something became misaligned after the pivot pins were pulled, and hub came loose? Never had one completely apart before, so my knowledge is vague, and can’t find any answers anywhere. Hoping some who has experience with a complete disassembled and reassembled column like these? Please help!
