Stuck in Bootloop Preceded by Running Hot

Okay. Here is the issue. My phone, which already 2 years old as of writing this, is stuck in a boot loop. This matter was preceded by the phone running hot and fast battery drain. I was about to do some back up of the phone before this happened. I really would like to know what I can do and if I have any way to recover the data that was on the phone and if the repair is too costly, I will seek a replacement instead. My phone is on the latest release of iOS if that helps with my case.

The only thing you could try would be installing a new battery as the one you have could be faulty that is why it is boot looping and getting hot. Besides that you would need to put the logic board into a known good housing to rule out parts. Although it sounds like you have a problem with the logic board and to recover the data would cost around $300 just make sure it is a reputable repairer you send it to if you go down this path.

Hm... That's a bit out of my budget at the moment as I don't have a job due to the whole COVID thing... Just some additional information, my phone has been dropped occasionally from about waist height. Also, I have not modified my phone in any form since I got it. The battery health that I last checked, was at 75%. I have some photos on the iCloud so I would be good on that end and as of now, I had a VM previously set up for making music with GarageBand that I am using to get the photos off of iCloud.

As for the data, it's mostly service passwords that I have saved and I would just do a password recovery and I would be able to get them back.

Funny enough, I was thinking about getting the battery replaced by Apple when I get a job back and use the phone and save up for the 12... I guess that God don't want me to wait? Anyways, thanks for the information. I will see if I can find any reputable shops around me. Might need to ask the Rossman Group.

Thanks for the information that you have provided. If the cost is more than the $300 you have estimated, I would just ask my family to help me get a new phone at the time being...

PS: A solution that I have tried is to run the battery down to the point where the phone won't show me that you should charge the battery graphic and then recharge the phone and see if that would work, but nope. Sigh... Also, is the $300 in USD? Given your location under your avatar. Again, thanks for the information.

@n0616jc The $300 would be for data recovery. The phone might not be a phone anymore after the data is recovered.

@imicrosoldering Hm... I will consider this before I do anything. I love the part where you said "The phone might not be a phone anymore after the data is recovered." Got a good laugh out of it.

Again, thanks for the information. I will see what options I have.

@imicrosoldering Um... just about 6 hours ago, my phone just sprang back to life... So... should I treat it as it is still broken or use it like normal? I'm confused right now.
