Laptop turns on sometimes and sometimes it doesnt

Having a computer with this problem can indeed be bothersome. I do have a few questions for you.

Have you spilled anything on it recently or in the past? And do you remember what it was that you spilled?

If you indeed spilled something, especially something sticky (something with sugar or salt, salt being the worst), then it could be that either the port of contact with the power button and the mother board can be getting stuck or is corroded. If this is the case, then you will need to have that professionally replace. However by the time you get that fixed and pay for it, for the price it just may be worth more buying a new one or getting a second-hand one online.

Have you recently installed any new software and/or hardware to the computer?

If you did indeed install new software or hardware, then I suggest you uninstall it, restart the system and see if that helps. Also, you can try to restore it back to a previous date, when it was not giving you a problem.
