Hi all .
I have a customers MacBook Pro: 15” MacBook Pro 2.8 GHz Core i7" Mid-2015 (DG) they want boot camp installing with Windows 10 Pro.
I have lost count how many machines I have set up with parallels and boot camp.
So I’m fully aware of the entire process start to finish. But on this occasion no matter what I do, in what order I keep getting this result, see image.

What do you see within macOS Disk Utility? Remember with APFS you need to now create a new partition Vs a container within the partition. Review this How to partition a Mac hard drive or SSD, or create a APFS volume

cant show you at the moment, have just initiated another clean install.
shouldn't the boot camp assistant sort all that out though?
and when at the screen i put in the image it should just install to the allocated partition.
the image i provided i admit doesnt show a label on the windows partition. i think i had deleted the partition at the point of taking the image.
@chuxsta - It depends on which version of macOS you are running on the system and the version of BootCamp you are using.
@danj i tried boot camp in Catalina, Mojave and then High Sierra. got the same error on all.
then tried re-burning my windows ISO in case that was corrupt.
customer has taken away with just Apple OS installed for now as they needed it for work.
but i will have it back at some point to try and solve this.
You may need to scratch the drive down and start anew.
