replace the home button on iPhone 4 with one from a 3G?

The home button on my iPhone 4 stopped working and I have an old 3G parts phone. Could I use the home button from that or do I need to purchase one specific to the 4?

Paul is right...the connections for the 2 home buttons are completely different. iphone 4 has a clip and 3gs has 2 prongs contacting the dock. They aren't interchangeable.
