Why won’t my chromebook charge or turn on

I plugged up my phone to the chromebook and it was charging for abt 30 minutes then it shut off. The chromebook was at low battery so I figured it died. So I tried to charge it but the light won’t turn on when I plug in the charger and I tried different chargers and had the same result. School chromebook, please help
