Screen Unresponsive after getting my cracked iPad mini fixed

My iPad mini was cracked and sent it to get fixed when I got it back it wasn’t responsive. This was around 2-3 years ago. Now I decided to see what’s going on with it and ruled out a possible issue the digitizer isn’t working and a question came to mind since I don’t know whether the screen behind the digitizer should be functioning when I touch it or not sorry for the noobie question. So 2nd question is whether I need to replace the digitizer and the screen behind it..

So the digitizer doesnt have anything to do with the touch screen since the digitizer is what gives you the display while the lcd aka the touch screen is what provides the touch, so if you are getting a display then that means your LCD is damaged and needs replaced, I was basically just first defining the two things for you even tho you said you rules the digitizer out. But yeah also there isnt a screen behind the digitizer, the digitizer is behind the lcd which is the touch screen so thats what needs to be replaced
