My Tv shows a thick black bar in the middle of the screen

I bought this TV at a yard sale a few days ago, and when I turned it on I found a thick horizontal bar in the middle of the screen. I’m assuming there backlights are fine because the bar is glowing . But I don’t know the actual problem. Can someone tell me what the problem is?
