Battery not charging and gets warm

Hi question fire your regarding an apple watch screen change.

I changed mine, no problems. Seemed to work fine. But now the battery won't charge. Get the red snake when off charger, green snake when I'm charger but won't charge. Gets warm. Bought a new battery and nothing comes up as far as snake wise, the Apple logo popped up a couple times but never booted up. Gets warm then charger stopped charging, like it knows there will be Fagan's it something. It charges my wife's series three no issues. Just wondered if anyone ever came across this before and what the solution may be? I didn't think the battery would have an issue with a screen change. Doesn't seem like a connection there to me??
