problems after replacing broken glass

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to check. I have replace several Droid X with broken glass and havent had any issues. The one I just did today went great (so I thought) untill i got the phone together and ran it for a few minutes. The phone booted and ran for a few minutes then it shut off. The only way to turn it back on was to take out the battery and wait a few seconds before I put it back in and turned it on again. But the problem keeps occurring. The only thing i could think of is maybe becasue I didnt put the tape back on the flex covering the LCD and digitizer connections something could be causing a short?
