Rear camera iPhone 12 pro max

Is it possible to replace this rear camera in a 12 pro max and it remains working 100%?  I ask this question because I could see in a video that when replacing the camera in the iPhone 12 it has problems like portrit mode or frizing the image etc.

With the latest the version of Ios 14 you can. (it will cause a pop up but functionality will not be affected.)

So if I replace the rear camera in an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I am having issues focusing the image, despite an update and even a factory reset, the issue is likely a faulty camera?
