3DS XL Blackscreen on Boot

I recently picked up a “for parts or not working” 3DS XL. It seems to be in pretty good condition but it won’t boot properly. When I turn it on, the blue light turns on but the screen remains black (not even a backlight). The blue light does NOT fade away. I don’t know what I should do to try and fix this. I tried booting without the SD card and had the same results. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.
