Why is my wii remote glitching or not appearing at all?

I have one wii remote that works perfectly when it has a new battery, but after an hour of use, the cursor starts glitching on the wii menu and does not appear at all for games. I have another wii remote that works perfectly fine. I have attempted to make it to the sensetivity option to find that the dots either don’t appear, glitch, hae more than 2, or have one of the dots double the size of the other.
