Screen unresponsive after replacement

Originally replaced the battery in iphone 8 plus after reassembly this device would not charge. In my frustration of such a simple repair I tore the display flex cable, ordered replacement lcd display and now screen is unresponsive. all other buttons working and fine home button is the original and responsive. Device just says Touch id requires passcode after restart. unable to enter the passcode. Attempted to connect to itune and device stats unlock phone to use acessories. any advice would be appreciated
