Code reader not connecting to eccu and I replace the immobilizer still

I broke I broke my immobilizer in my 06 Armada I was using a key programmer to crank it until my new immobilizer come in I replace my mobilizer and was thinking I have to program the key to that immobilizer but the programmer is saying failure to connect I don't know what to do

Also the programmer started saying that before my new immobilizer come in the mail from the Nissan dealer
