MacBook Pro doesn‘t start

Hi folks,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A week ago I changed the battery of my Mid 2014 MacBook Pro and everything went well. Battery management showed that it is an ifixit battery with 2 cycles at 100% capacity.

Then I didn‘t use my MacBook for a few days. Now it doesn‘t start any more. MagSafe is orange. No reaction.

The only reaction I‘ve been able to force is by pressing and holding shift + ctrl + option + power. When I release these keys, the mag safe led turns green for a few seconds, then back to orange.

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong and how to fix it?

Hi again,

I’ve been able to fix the issue.
The battery connector hadn’t properly locked in place. Luckily, no further replacements needed.

It could be a GPU or CPU failure on the logic board. Ebay has replacement boards, but as you didn’t specify the size I cannot give you a direct link. If you do try to replace the logic board and have to return it, I do hope you find the solution! Hope this helps!
