Mac Mini 2018 - I installed ram today, no power...double checked everything, no power. Install was smooth, no hiccups, no missed steps signs of stress nor damage. Thinking issue had to be the ram, put the old ram in and the mini now only gives a quick spurt of the fan, then off...rinse and repeat. Can’t image what I did or any damage caused. Anyone else experiencing this? Thoughts?

Did anything on the motherboard short out and thereby cause something to earth and die?
Did you check all your connections?
Is there anything on the display out

Process does not run long enough for the display to show signs of life. Fan kicks on high gear for about 5-10 seconds, sits quiet for about 20 seconds. Think the connections are as expected. Took everything apart and back together many times looking for an issue with a connection….and the original and new ram looking for any signs of change.
Short out? Nothing that was obvious and can not see any issues..

Update - as many times I checked ram was not properly seated. Everything running smooth now!
