iMac lights up but no display or sound. Shows sign of life. Help?
I have a iMac that powers on which shows there is sign of life however the white light remains and no display or sound. What could be wrong?

I've had this problem myself, it can be a bad display connection or RAM not being seated correctly.

Do you see any glow in the display in a darkened room?
Does the system Bong and/or hear the fan when you start the system?
Did you try replacing the PRAM battery? iMac Intel 24" EMC 2111 PRAM Battery Replacement
