Mac Mini Powers off after 5-10 minutes of booting up
My Mac Mini Mid 2010 has issues logging in, going into internet recovery, and pretty much any task. It will appear to work fine for 5-10 minutes, then it powers off entirely, and the fans stop.
This was the issue before I opened it to replace the thermal paste and clean the dust out. So I didn't make it any worse or any better.
The RAM sticks are OWC, so I think it's safe to say they are in good health and quality.
I think it may be an issue with the hard drive? It was a family computer that went through a lot, so maybe it is broken? IDK, and the data on it doesn't mean anything because there was always a backup.
I am kind of at a loss on what to do; I would appreciate any ideas.

Have you tried running Diagnostics from the grey CD disk that come with the system?

@danj Unfortunately, I tried and looked for that disc, but couldn't find it. It was a refurbished mac from apple, so not sure if they included discs or if I just lost it. Would the next step be to find the disc on eBay and try that?

@iphonebuddy - Thats one way, or if you have access to a second Mac create your own bootable CD with the Apple diagnostics program on it.

@danj If I was to create a disc before buying a power supply like @dan suggested, is there an ifixit guide or some some tutorial on how to create a diagnostic disc like you said?
