What is this part?

hi i bought a iphone 7 a cheap deal with the hopes of repairing it up it has been opened up before but the wrong screws were inserted ive no had a look and the shield that sits on top of the battery and screen connector has a screw stuck in it with a round ring im not sure if this is part of the phones logic board or its from the screw but i cannot seem to get it off so what i would like to know is if its part of the actual phone or if it is part of the screw ?

Hi @kyounis,

It's a little blurry image, but it looks like a standard standoff, to make sure there's correct space between the board, and the screw mounting point.

any ideas of how to remove it from the screw as its stuck in the shield and i've tried holding it and removing the screw but have had no luck so far

@kyounis I've never felt the need to remove them from the screw, so I have no personal experience. If they've used something like red Loctite (thread locker), then it'll be very hard to remove, as the red Loctite is meant to be permanent.
