Just a comment on quality

Just posting a general comment in case it helps anyone . (If this is inappropriate the nods can remove it.)

My son had a pair of these or very similar ones (Razer Kraken X USB Ultralight Gaming Headset: 7.1 Surround Sound) and they were very poor quality. We got them since he had school at home during COVID. The plastic holding one of the earphone cups broke and we decided to use some duct tape to keep them together rather than file a warranty claim and he be without headphones for days or weeks. (Gone are the days of cross-shipping so that a replacement can be on the way ASAP. A few companies still do this which is great.)

After several months and while still under warranty, the plastic of the top band that goes over the head broke. He did not abuse them, though they got used every day. We decided to file a warranty claim since now TWO things had broken.

They denied the claim since they wouldn't honor a claim for products that were "modified". We told them that the tape was just holding them together and was to fix a prior problem and in no way caused the second problem, but they still denied the claim. Had the headband not broke, they would have avoided a warranty claim since my son was fine with using them with the duct tape so I was trying to save them money and shipping costs, etc.

I've lost faith in the company to honor their products. Either this problem was an outlier (though I read of other people having the headband break on them) and replacing the headphones for a few random people would not be a big problem OR they had a lot of failures and didn’t want to honor them since they'd lose a lot of money replacing them. Well, they lost a customer and we bought another brand this time around.
