After replacing the battery, when I got everything together I found a giant white column in the middle of my screen. I have checked the connectors and all of the pins look fine is there anything else I could try.

@alexcrammer, unfortunately that is screen damage. The previous Pixels had a serious problem with removing the screen; they were so delicate you probably only had a 50% chance of taking one off without damaging it. Starting with the Pixel 5 they added a metal frame that helps with the problem, but the possibility of damage is still there, as you found out to your sorrow.
Hate to tell you, but the only fix now is to replace the screen. There are delicate connections between the glass the OLED circuits are printed on and the flex cable connecting it to the motherboard that get disrupted and they aren't considered repairable.
Wish I had better news for you, but a new screen should put you right.

More than likely you received a bad part. White lines are indicative of a bad panel which should be covered by your screen supplier as long as there is no physical damage.

The same exact thing just happened to my google pixel 6. The screen was working fine until i replaced the battery and then a white column appeared on the screen. I redid everything as well made sure none of the parts were damaged and cleaned for any dust. Is this a battery issue where i have to get a replacement, or is the screen permanently damaged?
