Samsung UE55NU7100K 55inch tv turns on but remote not working.

Hi there i wondered if anyone would be able to help my Samsung does not seem to respond to the inputs on the remote the remote is definitely coming working.

The tv powers on manually but otherwise if left on standby the red light will flash four times in a row twice.

does anyone else have a similar issue ?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
